Before you even start to play the game, there are a number of things that you’ll need and the first of these is a decent sharp pencil, an eraser, and a beverage of your choice. When you’ve got those things all together, it’s time to start playing Sudoku.

It should be no surprise that a game that’s as much fun to play as Sudoku has a very interesting history as well. Any fan of this game that’s swept North America and other places will be interested to know that the game goes as far back as eighteenth century Europe and one Swiss mathematician that developed a mathematical puzzle. This puzzle was called Latin Squares at the time and for some time after it was first invented, it disappeared after an initial wave of success. But it was soon to resurface and eventually make it’s way to the United States.

The history of that number game you play on the way to work every day goes farther back than you think. In fact the history of number games predates many of the other kinds of entertainment we enjoy. In fact, there is historical evidence of the Egyptians playing a variation of our modern Sudoku as far back as 1850 B.C.
